Darren got free tickets from his work to go see Disney's Pirates and Princesses in the suite.
Hmmmm, now I know where Reese gets her poses from...
The first part of the show was all about princesses. Reese thought it was awesome, of course. The second half of the show was about pirates. As soon as the pirates came on, Reese wanted to go home and she said she wanted to go home every 30 seconds for the rest of the show. She was done.
The next weekend we were planning on going to the Nascar race for Colby's Reflections project. We decided Reese would not be going since if she didn't like people singing and dancing for her, there was no way she would like sitting and watching cars go around a track for 50 laps. Colby, on the other hand, would be in heaven watching cars race for hours. For the Reflections project, the theme was, "Dream, Believe, Inspire." We heard Nascar was having a race here and we thought this would be perfect for Colby to go take some pictures of race cars since he wants to be a race car driver when he grows up.
He really wanted this yellow car to win, because his favorite color is yellow, and it just so happened that it did win.
He said this was the best day ever.

I wondered how Colby would use his love of cars in his career. Hope he decides to engineer cars rather than race them. But whatever makes him happy. You are such good parents.
